I think that I may be a bit crazy

So I know it has been a long time since I posted any progress on the car but I do have quite a few good reasons for that. I am sure that not a lot of people remember my project that I purchased but if you would like a refresher click !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

After moving the car to my friends barn to give my parents back some space in their garage for the winter things sorta happened that kept me from working on it. Most of the reasons are family related and I don't really want to go into them here.

The BMW is progressing really well right now. I ordered in a new carb for the car, and have installed it. Gone is the mysterious no name brand carb that I could not really find any information on, and had no clue how to tune and it is now replaced by a brand new Weber 32/36. I can now say that the car runs much better and I can tune it at least. Hell I was even able to move it out of the barn and drive it a bit!

It turns out that there is still a lot to do on the car, it was far more cobbled together than I originally thought so this is slowing me down during the times when I can actually get to it. I am a bit disheartened that I am further behind in this project then I want to be but I am slowly getting there.

Now the title says that I am a bit crazy and here's why. I am thinking of taking on another project vehicle.

Yes another opportunity has fallen into my lap and I may be able to get something slightly different from the 1972 BMW that I am working on. Here are some pictures of what I am looking at.

The car is a field find and is pretty rough, but I see a lot of potential here. The person who owns the car right now is liquidating her husband's estate and I have known her for a few years now. She is offering me a very good price, and there are 5 whole buildings full of wheels, fenders, brakes, engines, transmissions, hoods, grilles, lights, pretty much everything you can think of. Years ranging from the early 1900's to the 60's. I went out there today to look at it and I was in gearhead heaven.

Every door lead to another surprise, and more amazing car parts stacked high and even on second floors of the barns and out buildings.

She is going away for a month and I have that long to think about it. She will also throw in a front axle, and my choice of frame for it.

I am really torn here because I already have a project on the go and now I am thinking of adding to my pain. So I leave it up to you Jalopnik. Do I do this? Should I buy this and work on it along side my BMW or should I just let it go and not get it.

I don't know if I want another project but the price is so good and she is a friend and I would be doing her a favour by helping to clear it off the property. I think that she is slightly overwhelmed by it all.

I was thinking of just building a rat rod with it, I mean I know that some may think that they are played out but I think that having both a '72 BMW and a Model A Rat Rod in my stable would make for an interesting garage.
